Imported from France, this romantic yet classic floral alencon (re-embroidered chantilly) lace design is commonly used on upscale designer bridal gowns. Alencon lace is delicate yet durable enough to withstand beading and shaping beautifully. This particular design has a unique pattern from selvage to selvage, and one end has a large, gorgeous border (as pictured). The patterns can be cut out and used as appliques.
